1AF leaders get overview of air, space mission sets during visit to Colorado

On March 11, the U.S. Air Force named First Air Force as the air component to U.S. Space Command. Last week, starting with two visits to bases in Colorado, the 1AF team became actively engaged in learning more about the potential of its new role and expanded responsibilities.

Test Pilot School graduates first Space Test Fundamentals class

The U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School graduated the first-ever Space Test Fundamentals class April 6, 2021, at Edwards Air Force Base, California. Fifteen enlisted, officer, civilian Airmen and Guardians represent the first class dedicated to testing within the newly contested domain of Space.

CFSCC commander visits JTF-SD

Leaders from U.S. Space Command's two component commands, Combined Force Space Component Command and Joint Task Force-Space Defense, convened at the latter's headquarters April 1.

Global Lightning exercise tests multi-domain space capabilities

More than 100 U.S. Space Command personnel and 900 total participants took part in Global Lightning 2021 on March 8-12, which integrated space capabilities into a multi-domain exercise.
