  • Space Force releases service-specific rank names

    Effective Feb. 1, the Space Force will use the following rank names across all Space Force systems and in all manners of address.
  • 614th ACOMS paves the way for moving into new CFSCC HQ building

    The Combined Force Space Component Command formally began its move to a new building complex at Vandenberg AFB, Calif., during the week of Jan. 25, 2021. One of the first CFSCC units to make the move to Building 7000 included personnel from the 614th Air and Space Communications Squadron, which will be setting up computer workstations of more than 200 future occupants. About five years in the making, the nearly $200 million military construction project included a renovation of two older buildings in the complex and additional construction, all of which will now house the CFSCC headquarters staff and the Combined Space Operations Center.

  • End of an Era: The AEHF Program comes to a close

    After 20 years, six satellites and thousands hours of dedicated work, the Advanced Extremely High Frequency program is coming to a close. The Satellite Control Authority of the sixth and final satellite in the constellation transferred to the operators (DELTA 8 / 4SOPs) on Oct. 29, 2020. Operational Acceptance was authorized by Space Operations Command on Dec. 28, 2020, and will be fully integrated into the user community later this year.
