Space Delta 18 Activation, NSIC establishment ceremony Published June 22, 2022 By Space Operations Command Space Delta 18 PETERSON SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo -- Space Delta 18 Activation, NSIC establishment ceremony DAYTON, Ohio. – The National Space Intelligence Center will be established and led by the Space Force’s newest unit, Space Delta 18, during a ceremony at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio, June 24 at 10 a.m. Space Delta 18 is named in honor of the U.S. Space Force’s role as the 18th member of the intelligence community. The vision of NSIC is to deliver game-changing intelligence and unmatched technical expertise to empower national leaders, joint warfighters, and acquisition professionals to dominate in the space domain. Lt. Gen. Stephen N. Whiting, Space Operations Command commander, as well as other distinguished guests, will be making remarks during the ceremony. Space Delta 18 will fall under SpOC for command, control and supervision. The Commander of the Space Force’s newly activated Space Delta 18, Colonel Marqus D. Randall, will also be making remarks.
