Space Operations Command welcomes new Senior Enlisted Leader

The Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Space Operations Command, Chief Master Sgt. Caleb M. Lloyd, transferred responsibility to Chief Master Sgt. Michael J. Rozneck during a ceremony at Peterson Space Force Base, Colo., June 6, 2025. 

In his role as CSEL, Rozneck is responsible for advising the SpOC commander on matters influencing the welfare and effective utilization of SpOC’s 13,000 professionals responsible for providing space warfighting capabilities to the Department of Defense.  

Rozneck advises the commander on mission effectiveness, professional development, and military readiness and training of all assigned and attached enlisted space forces enabling the preparation, generation and sustainment of combat-ready intelligence, cyber, space and combat support forces. 

“As I step into this new responsibility, I am committed to ensuring our Enlisted Guardians remain combat-ready, disciplined, and resilient,” said Rozneck. “I take this responsibility seriously. I will train, empower, and challenge this Enlisted force to achieve its highest potential. I will ensure we are ready—not just for today, but for the challenges ahead.” 

Rozneck enlisted in the Air Force in 1998 as a space systems operator and has served in various space units, from operational to strategic levels of responsibility. His previous role was as SpOC’s Senior Enlisted Advisor to the deputy commander for Operations, Plans, Training, and force development.  

He concluded the ceremony by saying, “together, we will uphold the highest traditions of military excellence and strengthen the warfighting culture that defines Space Operations Command.”
