U.S. Space Command hosted a Gold Star flag raising ceremony May 7 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. Gold Star families gathered with USSPACECOM personnel to honor and recognize the service and sacrifice of fallen service members. The event was held in conjunction with Gold Star Awareness Month.
