PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. --

U.S. Space Command's incoming deputy commander was promoted to lieutenant general and officially transferred from the U.S. Air Force to the U.S. Space Force during a ceremony Nov. 23, 2020, at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Lt. Gen. John Shaw will take on duties as the 11th combatant command's deputy starting Nov. 24.
