U.S. Army Gen. James Dickinson, U.S. Space Command commander, hosted more than 70 headquarters and component senior leaders and spouses for the USSPACECOM Spring Commander’s Conference at Peterson Space Force Base, Colo., March 14-16, 2023.

Centered on furthering command objectives, the three-day conference addressed threats to the space domain while discussing solutions to ensure the U.S. and its allies can outpace the competition and continue to promote responsible behaviors in space.

Leaders from USSPACECOM’s component commands provided updates on their respective organizations and their status on implementing key lines of effort for the command’s contingency plans.

In addition to the 25 briefings, USSPACECOM hosted two keynote speakers. Mr. James Baker, Office of Net Assessment director, and Dr. Eric Schmidt, Businessman and former CEO of Google, whose remarks offered insights about the current strategic environment and the future of warfare as it applies in space.

Happening concurrently, Mrs. Angie Dickinson hosted a Spouses’ Conference bringing together nineteen senior spouses from across the command.  Participants received informational briefings from across the command to both further understanding of the USSPACECOM mission as well as share new policies, programs and processes with military families.

The three-day conference concluded with USSPACECOM annual awards gala March 16, celebrating the 18,000 women and men who make up the command across the globe. Events like the commander’s and spouse’s conference strengthen USSPACECOM’s ability to accomplish its mission and ensure there is Never A Day Without Space.
